Donald Alicea, MD
Psychiatrist
Licensed States: Wisconsin
I am a board-certified psychiatrist who focuses on helping people better understand their mental health and find practical, sustainable ways to feel and function better. My path into psychiatry was driven by an interest in how biological, psychological, and social factors all shape emotional well-being. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and creating a space where patients feel heard, respected, and understood.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I value time with family and activities that help me recharge and stay grounded.
Clinical Approach
My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and individualized. I integrate medication management with supportive and evidence-based therapeutic techniques when appropriate. I focus on clear communication, education, and shared decision-making so patients can feel confident in their treatment plan. I aim to balance symptom relief with long-term strategies that improve overall quality of life.
Who I Work With
I primarily work with adults experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric concerns. I am comfortable treating a wide range of presentations and tailoring care to each individual’s goals, preferences, and life circumstances.
