
Types of clients: Lorraine sees children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Treatment Specialties: All types of children's issues including ADHD, sexual abuse, problems adjusting to divorce and/or step or blended families, and conduct issues. She also deals with adults for parenting issues, women's issues including sexual problems, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
Training/Experience: Lorraine received her training at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds MA, MSSW, and PhD degrees and has been in practice since 1978. She has had extensive training in family therapy, sexual abuse, sexual dysfunctions, divorce and custody issues. She is a clinical consultant to the UW Dept. of Psychology. Owner/partner at Mental Health Solutions. National Register listed.
Techniques: Cognitive restructuring; family systems; interpersonal therapy; Gottman communication/relationship techniques, sexual counseling. Prepares evaluations for the courts and agencies as well as providing therapy.
