Types of clients: Marti treats adolescents, adults, and couples.

Treatment Specialties: Marti treats people who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and mood changes. She is interested in working with people who are experiencing grief, loss, adjustment to major life changes, aging, medical problems and trauma. She is an experienced therapist in the areas of physical and sexual abuse, violence (victim and/or witness), rural life and farm stress. Marti also has worked in critical incident debriefing and adjustment.

Training/Experience: Marti received her B.S. and MSSW degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has thirty-five years of experience in mental health. She has worked within the family and juvenile court systems, a medical setting, a domestic violence program, and rural community mental health settings.

Techniques: Marti utilizes cognitive restructuring, solutions-focused therapies,  communication/relationship work; interpersonal techniques, and  problem solving in her therapeutic practice.

She specializes in treatment for abusive relationships, anger management, trauma recovery, and medical issues.
