Types of clients: Lorraine sees children, adolescents, adults including seniors, couples and families.

Treatment Specialties: Lorraine specializes in the treatment of emotional and behavioral difficulties including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, gender issues, sexual abuse and sexual dysfunctions. She has worked extensively with families experiencing divorce, custody disputes, loss and parenting difficulties. In addition, she works with couples to improve their communication skills and with adult women and men to improve their assertion and self-esteem. She also sees women who are experiencing low sexual desire, dyspareunia and orgasmic problems.

Training/Experience: Lorraine received her training at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds MA, MSSW, and PhD degrees. She did an APA-approved clinical internship at Norristown State Hospital and a community mental health center in Philadelphia. She began her practice at the Mental Health Center of Dane County, Madison WI, in 1975 where she was program manager for the Child-Adolescent-Family Unit. She has had extensive training in family therapy, cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety and depression, treatment of sexual abuse and dysfunctions, marital therapy, and in divorce and custody issues.

She has taught graduate courses in the UW School of Social Work and the Educational Psychology department and is a clinical supervisor in the Department of Psychology, UW-Madison. She is an owner/partner at Mental Health Solutions. She is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
